Span Trust aims to advance urban environments in areas of social and economic deprivation through provisions of support for building projects that alleviate the needs of individuals, those who care for them and their dependents.

The Vineyard Community Centre serves the Richmond community by helping those in crisis and giving service users hope for life. Working in partnership with external services such as Social Services, Women’s Refuges and Job Centre plus they also provide a Foodbank, supporting an average of 2000 adults and children with food parcels annually. This is in addition to Morning Drop-In services and other facilities run by hirers such as AA and a Mental Health Therapy Group.

In order to fully serve their community they needed to introduce step free access to their 19th Century basement and ground floor of the building as the building provided no access for wheelchair users and ambulant disabled visitors. Span Trust are pleased to be working alongside City Bridge Trust and Richmond Trust to enable these vital works.
