Span Trust are pleased to have supported Trees for Cities - Woodland Planting Project at Seven Kings Park in Redbridge. The project aimed to plant up to 5000 - 6000 whips, suitable for floodplains and water management.
Trees for Cities aims to increase the biodiversity value by planting species that not only help to control and manage flood risk and mitigate the risks of climate change, but also support and enhance existing habitats, and create new wildlife habitats. Seven Kings Park has been identified as an area requiring biodiversity improvements, and proposed woodland for this location also aligns with London Borough Redbridge’s nature conservation strategy.
