Studio Voltaire

Strengthening a community is often an additional benefit of advancing built environments; encouraging members of the community to come together and celebrate their space. Studio Voltaire is a leading not for profit contemporary arts organisation based in Clapham.

Offering a free public programme of exhibitions, community participation and learning projects, events and public commissions and affordable artist’s studio space they reach over 250,000 people annually.

Span Trust have supported the special ‘Artist’s Garden’ designed by the artist Anthea Hamilton, which includes a pavilion and a dwelling space.

The garden is now open (2022) and free to the public, benefiting local residents and making significant accessibility improvements.
