Fleet Primary School - Photovoltaic (PV) Panels

In cooperation with London's Camden council, Span Trust enabled the installation of solar panels on the roof of South End Green’s local state school, Fleet Primary School. In accordance with the Climate Change Act of 2008, a call to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% in the EU, Span Trust supported a sustainable energy alternative using solar panelling as a low carbon technology. Fleet Primary School has 240 students, with a single class at each year group from Nursery through to Year 6. This initiative helped the school’s energy savings and increased their income via the Feed in Tariff as well as encouraging future generations to better understand the importance of a sustainable future.
