Chickenshed

Span Trust were thrilled to support Chickenshed, a UK charity that changes the lives of children and young people every day through the power of inclusive theatre and education.

Our grant enabled vital maintenance works to improve the theatres's facilities. Established in 1974 with a vision to support a society that enables everyone to flourish with a mission to create entertaining and outstanding theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change.

Their inclusive model includes participants who are vulnerable due to barriers such as disability and social and economic deprivation, and provides a powerful vehicle to engage with audiences, using the performing arts as an effective tool to empower people.
