Anthony Nolan helps save the lives of people with blood cancer. Span Trust are proud to have sponsored The Cell Counter NC-250, a crucial piece of equipment that automates and increases sample cell counting. At their Research Institute, in North-West London, they are working on The Patient/Donor Project – a major research study involving more than 2,500 pairs of donors and their recipient patients, gathered over 20 years from more than 40 UK transplant centres around the UK. This sophisticated genetic analysis technique will help illuminate the factors behind survival rates to increase successful transplants.
